Tiger Auctioneering takes the disposition of your property seriously. When the time comes for you to sell items that you or your family may have acquired, perhaps over a lifetime, it is important they be presented and sold with proper attention. The key to a successful auction or one that brings fair market value for the seller is proper advertising to the right demographic.
Once you request our services, we consider it our duty to prepare and advertise in a manner that will be most effective. When a person is dissatisfied with their auction results, the reason is often poor preparation and insufficient advertising. Some auction companies tell clients they will include the advertising and pay for it out of the auctioneer's fee or percentage, in an attempt to make the cost of doing an auction seem less and give appearance they are offering a better deal than the auctioneer who requires the seller to pay the cost of advertising.
However, it is our opinion that an auction that generates 40 to 50% more in gross revenue and pays out 30% in fees and expenses is much more successful than one where the advertising appears to be less, but nets half as much for the seller. If the seller pays out a total of 30% of gross and receives a $50,000.00 settlement, he or she benefits more financially than paying 15% of gross and getting a 45,000.00 settlement, even though at first 10 or 15% seems better than 20 or 30% in total fees and expenses.
We recommend the advertising method and amount we think will be prudent and then our client must approve it before we proceed. This way we include the buyer in the process of choosing the best advertising if they wish. If they refuse to approve the expense budget we outline, we will still do our best to conduct a successful auction and the owner may or may not be satisfied the amount generated. When adequate advertising is done it assures the owner of receiving true market value.
Our goal is to eliminate as many variables as possible. A poorly advertised auction is usually a poorly attended auction. This allows buyers to get great deals at the expense of the seller and we work for the seller. It is rare that the amount invested in well advertised auction ends up being more than the amount lost by the seller in one that is not.
Just as important as advertising is the manner in which an auction is staged and conducted. This includes time, date, location, preview, registration, auction terms, bid calling, cashiering right down to restrooms and concessions. All our auctions are recorded for the benefit of everyone involved. As auctioneers we want to get as much as we can for the seller and be fair and honest with the buyers who support the present and future auctions.
Auctioneers,
like attorneys, are not all equal in terms of dedication, qualifications,
work ethics or ability to serve their clients. The staff of Tiger Auctioneering
prides itself on honest consulting for auction planning, quality auctioneering
and professional execution of a successful auction. We realize that many auctions
take place because of sad and unpleasant circumstances. We understand the
personal emotion and how important your auction may be to your future. We
take your reliance on us as your sales agent very seriously and desire to
make the whole experience as pleasant and less stressful as possible. We can't
continue to have successful auctions unless our customers continue to experience
successful auctions and profitable settlements.

What is best for you, should you schedule an auction and retain the services of an auctioneer, or not?
We don't want to conduct unsuccessful auctions. It doesn't profit you or us. We try to give you an honest outlook and realistic expectations. If we offer to schedule and auction and you want us to conduct your auction after considering our proposal and terms, then no one will work harder to exceed all expectations.
On the other hand, our reputation is extremely important to us and we cannot afford to disappoint our clients or registered buyers. Getting fair market value for what you have to sell is the goal we have and if we do not feel we can do that equitably and profitably for both parties we will tell you to take a different course or find another auctioneer.
